Today, I made a Sim of myself and had her work out until she was completely fit, then got her a job and a husband. Meanwhile, I sat at my desk, fat, single, and jobless. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, while playing The Sims 2, I realized I had a virtual person's whole life planned out, and have nothing planned out for myself. FML
Today, I played The Sims just so I'd know what it was like to live alone, own a home, and have a well-paying job that didn't slowly kill me from the inside out. It was the happiest I've been in months. FML
Today, a close friend pointed out to me how ironic it is that I make the Sim version of myself work out to lose weight, while I sit on my fat ass playing video games. FML
Today, I just realized that my Sims character has a far more stable lifestyle than what I can ever have. FML
Today, my husband of ten years was playing the Sims. I asked him about the house he built. Apparently, it was his dream house, and he recreated himself as a Sim so he could live in it. Then I asked him where the wife was. There was no wife. It was his happy place. FML
Today, I spent a good hour playing a life simulation game so my character could go through the stages of pregnancy and labor, only to jealously cry for an hour because my character can successfully get pregnant and have a baby, and I can't. FML
Today, after learning that my wife has been cheating on me, I decided to distract myself by playing The Sims. Not long after I began, my Sim's wife basically started cheating on him. FML
Today, like every day, I scrolled through my social media feeds, seeing happy couples, people buying houses and landing their dream jobs. I, on the other hand, am a single 23 year-old man in a dead end job, who still lives with his parents. FML
Today, my son was playing The Sims, when I saw him remove the door to a room and set it on fire with a Sim trapped inside. I chuckled at first, until I saw that the Sim was me. Meanwhile, my wife's Sim was happily painting in the next room, not giving a crap. All too accurate, sadly. FML
Today, I woke up on my day off as a family man. Yesterday I played an AI game where I went back to my college days in the 2000s. I recreated those days as they were, and it brought back many memories. The problem? The game let me create the perfect girlfriend. I regret dating my now ex-wife back then more than ever. FML

Dun worry at least u know u have the ability to change things. It's not like u're stuck at the house without any dreams because you have to stay home and take care of a million kids so ur husband can make the money and keep you on a leash like a caged animal, unable to fend for urself or leave because u don't have a job or marketable skills. Be positive! things could be much worse! Keep your head up and stay fabulous!

Take it as a sign that it is time to take action! I have been in the gutter of life myself... and only through action I was able to pull myself out and get back on the curb. I know the job market sucks, just keep looking. Perhaps in the mean time, train your mind by reading classic literature like Thoreau or Tolstoy (library books cost nothing)? Maybe go for a jog in a beautiful park (a healthy endeavor)? These things I have mentioned are far more worthwhile an endeavor than sitting at that desk doing what you were. Break the chains of your own shackles and get out! I have been, was not, and now are alone. I have both hated and enjoyed both conditions, though more the latter. You need not need someone else to enjoy the little things in life :)
