Today, I just bought a car with all of my own money. Then, when I brought it home my dad informed me that my mom will be driving it to work every day. FML

Unfortunately OP is in a bad way if they are still living at home. Because that leaves the parents with the right to make OP's life hell if he doesn't comply. That being said, you have two options. Either you move out and take your car with you, or you allow them to use it with the stipulations that they pay for gas, insurance and maintenance of the car. Unfortunately, the mom is using it to work, presumably to help pay the rent to keep OP and the rest of the family with a roof over there head, so yeah, things are gonna get a little ugly if you keep living there but refuse to let them use the car. The least they could have done is asked though...

how was mother getting to work before this car was purchased? I'm going to assume that OP's car is better, newer and more reliable so they want to stick their kid with a POS and give mom the better car shame on them SMDH if his parents love him the way they should then they wouldn't mind if he said no and would not make his life he'll and alienate him from them, if they do then they didn't love him to begin with OP get out as quickly as possible probably in the middle of the night would be easiest

tell him screw u and be like he get her one wit his broke ass or u threaten to take that ho back

You could move out and take the car with you. You could report it stolen, if your name is the only one on the title. You could sell the car, since you will not have use of it anyways. Or. . . You could leave retirement home pamphlets laying about the house. Remind them that their future is in your hands, after all. Tell them you'll pick a nice one if they treat you well. ;)

Yes! Be nice to your kids, they chose your nursing home! Always good to remind them of that fact!

awesome idea made me LOL about the retirement pamphlets, I say leave ones lying around that are the worst ones in the area or ones that are further away so they would know that they will never have a visitor lol I will never have to deal with that but I had awesome parents and would have cared for them Shitty ones get shitty care IMHO

if it's in your name, don't worry about it. if she drives it, report it stolen. one GTA charge later, they won't ever even LOOK at your car lol

Hide the keys. And leave the house in the morning in the aforementioned car before she does.
