Today, I had to re-grade a student's assignments because neither he, nor his parents can read "Spanish." I'd written in cursive. FML

His parents probably live in a poor trailer park

wow cursive i learned that in 1st grade im 16 and they thought it was Spanish lol

I never read my teacher's notes because they write in cursive. We're not taught it anymore.

The kids and parents are idiots for thinking it's Spanish. However, cursive is still obsolete.

Do they not teach cursive anymore??

All I was ever taught to write in cursive is my name, so that I can sign things. I honestly don't know anyone who writes in that anymore. It is obsolete.

Really? Just fail the kid for being so dumb. I know elementary schoolers who can read cursive.

I remember how my elementary teacher would say "you need to learn cursive. In high school they require you to write everything in cursive." Well I'm now a senior in high school and barely anyone here writes in cursive. I know someone a year older than me who doesn't know how to read cursive. With cursive, you usually write checks and signitures with it.

I am ashamed to be part of this generation...
