Coming out to homophobic people, or most religious people is an extremely bad idea. Teens get kicked out of their homes, some people get severely beaten, some people get worse things. Very few cases do people actually get a relatively positive reaction. Coming out to accepting, or general non-homophobic people is hard to begin with for a lot of people, anyways

Good luck with your family, OP. If they can't see past your sexuality to love who you are as a person, it's their loss, and you know you're better off finding your own family of people who will respect and care for you no matter what.
