I hate it when people do that. I'm mostly South American (parts Bolivian and Brazilian), so people assume I speak Spanish without asking, just because I look hispanic. So when they speak Spanish to me, I stand there all awkward like "Mhm... uh-huh... I don't speak Spanish fluently."
