Today, all of my roommates handed in their vacating notice unexpectedly. They are all moving to a new house together in two weeks, leaving me to be either homeless or forced to pay 4 times what I was paying in rent. FML

Today, after my housemate handed in his notice to vacate without telling me beforehand, I had few days whilst working to make a decision to stay or vacate. In a panic, I chose vacate. On my day off I sat down with my finances and discovered I can't afford elsewhere. I asked to stay, my landlord put up rent by 50%. I might now become homeless. FML

Today, I was informed that my flatmate had not handed his documents in to the new landlord like he'd told me. We are due to move to a new area tomorrow for the new job that I start in four days. Now we can't move for another week. Anyone have a spare couch? FML

Today, I was finally starting to relax after a stressful and expensive move, where I had to give up half my belongings and furniture, as well as my cat. All the stress came rushing back as my new landlord told me that he's selling the building and I've got 30 days to vacate. FML

who is all on the lease? if they are on it, they are supposed to find people to take their place or pay what time is left on the lease. i watch judge judy all the time, can you tell?

Most places require more notice than 2 weeks. I'm required to put in 3 months notice if I want to move.

It's pretty obvious you're the problem. a group of people wouldn't plot to leave you unless you're a terrible room mate. You won't be able to mend these relationships but I'd ask them what you did wrong so you can try to improve with new room mates.

I don't think u are the problem. U just got some f'ed up "friends". (Probably hiding bad habits that u don't partake in?) Cut em loose brother. That's what I do. I don't put up with stupidity and fake ass friends. Keep ur chin up. You'll find some legit friends and get some roomies.
