Today, after years of hard work, I had an interview at the highest ranking university in the world 800 miles from where I live. It snowed heavily for the last 2 days closing every road, railway, and airport causing me to miss the interview. There is no rescheduling. FML

Why can't it be rescheduled? Shouldn't have been possible for your interviewer to make it either...

I think that's rather unlikely to be honest, and if they did tell you that then I would be having some serious words. I had an interview for Cambridge yesterday in the UK and they were incredibly accomodating to applicants that couldn't get in from even 20 miles away.

....How does OP Deserve THIS? I'm so sorry. u__u Don't let it get you down, though. A degree is a degree, although WHERE you get it might add a nice title, the fact that you GOT it is the same.

if it makes you feel better , it does not means that you were getting the Job for sure :)

YDI for being so obnoxious as to wanting to go to the highest ranking university in the world. Some people don't even get a basic education, you selfish pig.

Sounds like Bs to me. If it snowed that bad the Uni woulda got closed.

Note: The FML says that the means of transportation were closed. That means they were closed in the OP's town, not necessarily the university's. Learn to infer.

YDI. You should have checked the weather. If there was that much snow, it would have been predicted on the news or online or SOMEWHERE. If the college was that important to you, you should have checked the weather, went into the university's area early, and stayed in a hotel.

You don't want to go there. Its a sign of how bad your experience would be if you did. There are plenty of other schools.

their is ways to reschedule. just find one

Nope, miles all the way. Very few people have converted to metric, that's why all speed limits are in mph and a lot of people buy things by the lb, etc.
