Today, I found out that the foundation I've been using for the past month isn't normal foundation, its skin darkening foundation. I look like an oompa loompa from the neck up. It won't go away for another month. FML

Today, while filling out paperwork at the dermatologist's, it asked what color I would use to describe my skin tone. When the nurse saw that I chose fair, she mumbled, "Ghost is more like it." I have a severe sun allergy. FML

Today, I was in my Cosmetic Application class, and we were about to apply foundation to our models. I walk over to my friend and say, "Wow, that foundation is really orange and blotchy." Then the model turns to me and says, "Actually, we haven't started yet… that's just my skin." FML

Today, I painted the guest bathroom. Once finished, I noticed the paint splatters on my arms matched my lily white chalky skin. Paint matches me better than my makeup. Guess I need a different paint, and new make up. FML

Today, I used a self-tanning towelette to help even out my tan lines and disguise my vitiligo a bit. Now my stomach is orange and my spots are even more noticeable. FML

Today, I went to get a double conch piercing. Afterwards, the lady asked me whether I was feeling well, because I was looking so pale. I had to explain that it's my normal skin tone. I'm just pale as fuck. FML

Today, I tried a self-tanner in an attempt to rid myself of my ghost-white legs. I got my wish, but instead of a warm golden tan, I have red, swollen, lobster-like marks sticking out from the bottom half of my torso. FML

For what it's worth, super pale skin is a coveted feature in many parts of the world. There are even bleaching creams to achieve it. You are you, and things that you may find ugly about yourself may be the very thing that others think make you beautiful.

Amphigory sells some pretty pale powders. Also, makeup 4 ever sells a shade called alabaster that is pretty pale. Goth websites sells pale foundations as well. I'm pretty knowledgable in this area, I feel your pain!

I had to look everywhere to find a white setting powder because the lightest powder I could find still tinted my foundation a different shade even though they're labeled "translucent."

I have a somewhat similar issue like that, except my complexion isn't as pale as you would say "death flesh," nonetheless, I actually embrace that feature about myself. Half of my family members have darker complexion and would always tell me how I have a face of a porcelain doll ;)
