Today, after coming home from hanging out with a few friends, my mom told me that I shouldn't hang out with them any more. Why? Because "they are way hotter than I am and I'll never get a boyfriend if I'm always the ugly one in my group." FML

I'm sorry, your mother? Just tell your friends that. "My mom thinks you guys are hot and says I shouldn't hang out with you anymore." You know she could be right though. People are only good or bad looking based on comparison. If you go and find a group of "ugly" friends, you'll be the sexiest one in the group. I'm not saying you're ugly or anything, but our eyes tend to pick out the person or thing that stands out the most in a group, whether they be average, pretty or a model and judge them accordingly based on those surrounding them...

You don't necessarily have to be the hottest one in your group to get guys. I had a lot of friends in high school who were hotter than I was, but I was always the one with the boyfriend because I was more outgoing and friendlier. If you have a killer personality, guys will look beyond the looks.
