First of all, it’s rude to assume someone’s pregnant. Second of all, why do pregnant women suddenly lose autonomy of their bodies so that complete strangers can come up and touch them? That’s never ok, and I totally don’t get why that’s a thing.

Even if op needs to lose weight, you don’t know the whole story. Some people have struggles outside of their control like medical issues or even medications that add a lot of weight. Or bloat. One med kept my stomach bloated and I could have passed for pregnant. Off of the med, now too skinny. I get judged on that now. Like I have control over the medical issues that cause the issue. You are about as much as a fuckwad as the person who told me there is help for anorexia randomly at a store. We know we have issues. We are probably already self conscious about it. We don’t need assholes who don’t know us or our full story giving us their two cents on why it’s automatically something that can be controlled.

It is the affirmation of life, people want to feel, it makes them connect to humanity. And it is a most beautiful feeling, joyous.
In fortunately the individual was not pregnant

Why would someone think it is acceptable to touch a random stranger?

I despise when people do that. It's bad enough that someone asks when you're due if they don't know for a fact you're pregnant - this person actually TOUCHED you without your consent? Pretty sure that's some sort of crime you could report...
