Today, I saw a small child take a really bad fall off his scooter, so I got rid of my cigarette and ran to help him. I asked him if he was alright, or if I could walk him to his house. He replied "I'm okay, but your dress is on fire." It was. FML

Never mind the fact that the OP was actually trying to do something nice for someone, yet all you can do is focus on the fact that she was smoking. In my experience, those who are excessively dogmatic turn out to be the biggest hypocrites.

stop with these "YDI FOR SMOKING!" She was doing something nice and being a good person. AND she even put out the cigarette before she went to help. if she wants to smoke, that's her decision. I swear this whole anti-smoking argument has to be an american thing, because people in Europe smoke like crazy, and they live pretty long. And cigarette smoke isn't the only thing polluting the earth, there are WAY worse pollutants. Oh, and if you're so anti smoking, go bitch to the tobacco companies, they're the ones who started this whole smoking craze. Dumbasses.

do you want a cookie for that nice bit of info? who gives a shit! we are all going to die some day, just others make it a little quicker for themselves! my grandpa smoked for 52 years of his life and didn't die of lung cancer or any cancer for that matter, he died because the hospital caused him to get Staff infection! so if people want to smoke, it's there choice, if you don't like it, that is yours... I have never heard of so wine dying from secondhand smoke. there's slot worse things that you breathe into your lungs every day, especially if you work on some kind of construction job. being in an enclosed room with smoke isn't good (my grandpa would always smoke in the basement when I was there) but smoking outside clearly isn't hurting anyone
