Today, just like every other day, my company is so dysfunctional that local food chains require us to pay cash up front for our catering, because we routinely take 6 months or more to pay for a chicken sandwich. FML

Unless you are hugh enough up to do something about it, this isn't an FML for you, but rather the company leaders.

I hope it was a Popeye's Chicken Sandwich. Damn, those things are good!

well dysfunction of this level could be writing on the wall for the longevity of the company. also, some people take pride in their work or company they work for, so I disagree this can very much be an FML for op.

I read it as the employee has to use his own cash rather than the company covering it.

Thats not how I read it. I read it as the company just has to pay up front for services.

I understand, the company I work for is so dysfunctional we often end up unable to work on what we need to due to all of the space taken up by half finished work we get told to stop for "Important rush jobs" that also sit for months. they allow 14 year olds to operate fork lifts and management has no idea where projects are or if they are even started/ finished. while not my fault or problem...it becomes my problem trying to keep them happy with no ability to do my job properly. its mismanagement and it sucks, but hopefully you are paid by the hour
