Today, I received a promotional message offering a half-off deal on an expensive coffee maker. The only reason why I received the message is because I bought that same coffee maker yesterday and I signed up to their mailing list. FML

That sucks OP. Happened to me when I was buying a new phone and it was $100 off the next day. It sucks! :(

If it's been just 1 day, go get the sale. As long as you still have the receipt for the 1st one, you could buy the second one w/ the coupon and return it with the 1st receipt. You wouldn't even need to unbox it. :-)

Bring in your receipt and the offer. They should give you the difference back.

Companies often do price matching for 2 weeks. If you opened and used the 1st one already and they won't price match. Purchase the 1/2 off and return it using the full price receipt.
