Supportive

Today, my very handsome, fit, Russian boyfriend tried to make me feel better about being a little overweight by telling me, "It's okay, you're American, everyone expects you to be fat." FML

I guess people assume Americans are fat like they assume Canada is a barren winter wonderland where the inhabitants live in igloos, ride moose and polar bears, and are governed by Tim Hortons. :P

At least your Russian boyfriend is able to define 'capitalism' sesame street-wise. =)

dude, I'm American, underweight, and a fair outdoorsman, marksman, archer, sailor, and knife fighter. and don't bash the russians either, now we have obama as president we're slowly going commie

Wow, so you defy the "fat American" stereotype, only to go on and prove the "really ******* stupid American" stereotype. GG, buddy. Way to represent the good ole U.S. of A.

that's funny. and hey, at least you have a fit Russian boyfriend! I wish I had one of those :(

actually a lot of European countries are catching up to Americas obesity rate. England particularly and Russia has their fair share of Mickie Ds too. neither Russia nor America is better than the other. If I could just pack up and and move at 17 i wouldn't choose neither of these countries to live in.

haa that true, working as a guide for hiking trips i can tell: most americans are so overweight and out of shape!!! once even had to carry a guy for 5km hill up cuz he almost collapsed and i warned him several times before the trip...
