Slippery season

Today, I accidentally slipped on a wet floor at my local mall after copious amounts of snow. There was no sign. I accidentally hit a lady trying to help me when falling backwards and gave her a bloody nose. I am now banned from the mall for two weeks and told I was lucky she didn’t press charges. FML

Hope you took pictures and are prepared to join forces with the lady and go after the mall. They’re the bad guys here, not you.

If there was no sign, it's on them, not you. Call a lawyer and get security footage.

Call your lawyer and ask them to ask the mall if they'll lift the ban or face charges. FYL

You're not liable, the mall is. It's up to you if you want the lady to join you, but get a ruthless slip-and-fall lawyer and take your winnings to shop at a different mall.

i mean on one hand you have a winnable lawsuit. but on the other hand it's kinda a YDI for needing a sign to tell you that water is wet

the sign is to tell you there may be water on the floor. not that water is wet

If a hazardous condition exists (due to snowmelt, cleaning, etc) then it's advisable to have a warning.

'murica in a nutshell. (the part that's not assault rifles, at least)
