Short King

Today, I'm a 5ft2 guy and I was at the seamstress's getting some dressy pants shortened for a wedding this week. She got it to the right length, then told me, "Don't worry, you're still growing." My dad started laughing, and she stared at me as I told her that I'm 25. FML

5'9" is close enough to average, definitely not worth risking health and safety over something like this.

A 5ft2 woman can still get dates with men of any height. A 5ft2 man is going to have a very difficult time dating even short girls. Height discrimination is one of the last socially acceptable forms of prejudice.

Even as a woman, being 5 ft 2 kind of sucks and having to shorten my pants is part of the reason. It would be nice to be about 3 inches taller so I wouldn't have to do that.

Being a short guy is right up there with being unemployed as absolute deal-breakers for a man. It's far-reaching in many aspects of life, from careers to dating and beyond. There's a reason why guys lie about their height and girls lie about their weight in online dating. First filter is to exclude "guys under 5 foot x inches" or even "under 6 feet."

Really sucks that height is such a big factor in your quality of life. I'm 5"9 and I've seriously considered having leg lengthening surgery...just can't really get over not being able to walk unassisted for 6 months just for 3 to 6 inches of height.

I’m 31 and I’m also 5ft2. I also have to shop in the kids section for shoes since my feet are small
