Today, I went to my first party, hoping to maybe meet some people. I was there for 4 hours, and the person/thing that I interacted most with was a cat. FML

Seriously, she has nobody to blame but herself. Sounds like she was sitting on her ass hoping somebody would sweep her off her feet. Want to know how to appear unapproachable? Act engrossed in a cat and don't pay human beings any attention. I love my 2 cats but I tend to ignore them when I'm interacting with my loved ones.

67. I completely agree. I think he did mean talking. But it didn't take 41's comment to make me realize that. The fact he had to correct the post, made me have to correct him. The only difference is my correction is 100% correct. His....Is either 100% OR 0% correct, depending on the what the original comment was intended to express. But to be 100% accurate, neither of us know whether it was supposed to be talking or taking. So no one is wrong or right...except ant.

Being the life of the party means you get out there, make yourself as a fool and laugh at yourself. Chill means you go with the flow. You're not a leader, and you don't do anything exuberant. The more you know… :)

I know what it's like to be afraid to talk to people. It can be really hard. A good tip I learned is to ask them about themself... People love talking about themselves! Good luck at the next one OP, don't give up on yourself!
