Panic!

Today, I was driving when I saw a spider hanging from the ceiling of my car. I'm terrified of spiders, so I was watching it instead the road. When I looked back at the road, I had just enough time to swerve to miss the fire hydrant but not the tree. Even the cops laughed at me. FML

Thank goodness you made a solo crash. Even when faced with a phobia, please learn to prioritize life over fear of spiders.

Not true. Driving through the Yukon in November, we had a spider decide to hitchhike with us to Alaska. Luckily, my husband was driving - I literally freeze when I see a spider. This wasn't an ordinary, thumb-size spider either; it was rather large. We noticed ours when we had a sheer drop off on passenger side and truckers all around, three days after a massive ice/snow storm. I was ended up sitting entirely to still for about two hours, waiting to feel its monstrous body pulling itself up my leg........

What are you more afraid of: auto repair bills + medical bills + considerable pain + endangerment of those around you, or a small spider bite? It sucks, but YDI.

Believe me, I feel you there, OP. I'm terrified of butterflies and I'd do the same thing. And all of you can go ahead and laugh, hell, I laugh at my damn self! Lol

YDI a million times. Instead of ignoring a tiny spider less than a millionth of your own weight, you decide to stare at it instead of the road, endangering both your own life and those of other drivers and pedestrians. You're lucky that you hit a tree instead of a human.
