Today, at the office, my boss lectured me for being two minutes late for work, even though yesterday I worked on my lunch break because she needed my help. important to mention: my boss is my sister. FML

This is why people tell you never to work with family, honestly. And also why you should never work through your legally mandated breaks, because your boss doesn’t give a rat’s ass if it benefits them but will come down like a ton of bricks when they’re mildly inconvenienced

don't work FOR family. tip 2: don't do things for your employer like that unless they have shown that they will reward the extra effort. Some places will quickly give you less oversight on how you work when you go above and beyond... other places view it as "just doing what they bought you for". learn the difference and don't muddy it with having family as a boss
