Silence is the best reply to a fool

“Dog Mom” sister is obviously emotionally unbalanced and envious. The best thing to do is to ignore her. Arguing over such an idiotic thing just gives her the attention she craves. Pets are great, I’ve had pets and loved them. I understand that they fill an emotional need and are important to their loving owners. However, pets are not really “children” (or “grandchildren”) to anyone besides the the pet owner. Most people understand this, but obviously not “Dog Mom” sister. This attempt for some kind of special recognition by her will only make people think she is unhinged and pity her at best, and avoid her most likely - which is the opposite of the attention and recognition she so desperately craves.

Don't let her know when you go into labour, she will make it all about her.
