Today, I had to buy a new boxcutter for work after our old one broke. It came in a box, the type which policy requires a boxcutter to open. FML

Think outside the box!

Order another one of the same kind

Or just buy a knife and carry it around.

And the bureaucracy. Can't forget about that.

OP should just hire some Republicans to shut down the box...

Lmfao this cracks me up

A classic catch 22!

#50 I thought you were replying to #22 and I thought to myself "but #22 hasn't commented on this thread" and then I thought about it and realised that I'm an idiot.

Glad I'm not the only one

Looks like it's time to buy yet another boxcutter.

What happened to carrying your own knife? (other than the one for work)

Its funny you say that. I used to carry my own but for "liability reasons" we can only use company equipment

Uhh.. You ever heard of this concept called borrowing?

I could be wrong, but I believe there isn't a single box cutter where he is working. Else there wouldn't be any problem.

Can't you borrow a knife from someone? if not I'm sure you can atleast find a good pair of scissors.

Did you not see the part about how policy requires a box cutter?

That policy has you really boxed in.

It's a never ending cycle! Ok, so the plan is to write a letter to the company explaining your situation, and hopefully they will start dispensing box cutters in zip-lock baggies for everyone's convenience!

A knife maybe would help

Maybe use scissors or a knife?
