Letting yourself go

By sad smelly thing - 11/05/2022 13:00 - United States

Today, I told my mom I wanted to see a doctor, because I feel like I’m slipping into depression. I told her I was so sad, I didn’t shower for 4 days. Her response? “I don’t believe that. You’ve always had great hygiene!” Duh, I’m not myself lately! Thanks for noticing. FML

Contact you doctor. We all hit bumps from time ti time. You can always talk to me.

Unfortunately family and friends are not always equipped to deal with or even notice the signs of depression. Furthermore their own parents probably taught them to deny the possibility of mental distress so they do likewise. (1) Don’t expect your loved ones to guess how you feel inside. You have to tell them. (2) Serious depression and other mental/emotional conditions require professional help. (3) You will survive. No matter how bad it feels now, you will feel better at some point. But you may need professional mental health help to get there.

Shit in the driveway. Preferably during daylight hours. She take you to what ever head-shrinker you want!
