Today, the snails have been so prolific that not only have I lost any hope of growing vegetables this year, but they have actually eaten all the flowers off my crocuses, and the broom on the terrace looks like it’s wearing hair gel. FML

I’m guessing you’ve tried all the different approaches to protecting your crop from snails such as putting a salt barrier, planting lavender or mint around your garden and adding physical barriers like sharp eggshells or gravel. I know how disappointing that can be. Here in Alberta we mostly have to contend with rabbits (who get my lilies every year no matter what I do!), aphids, spider mites and slugs. Hope you get some relief from the snails soon!
