Infinite sadness

Today, my husband has been drunk and miserable for days. Not due to a death in the family, or losing a job, or anything normal, no. He has been diagnosed with Alpha-Gal allergies and can no longer eat red meat. He's crying because he "will never taste steak again." FML

Dude’s upset. He’ll never savour the flavour again. Have a heart

That may not be true. There’s a possibility with certain treatments that reset the memory of the immune system that is looking promising to things like these. It’s likely going to fix this too in the future Edit: while not available for humans (yet), a study with mice was able to retrain the immune system with certain nano particles, but currently if your husband avoids more of the tick bites and reinfection, it may settle down and the sensitivity may diminish or disappear over time. Yes, I understand this sucks, but for the first time with the latest treatments, my body stopped attacking my kidneys and other issues settled down using voyxact after decades of damage after getting (and surviving) Hantavirus as a teen. It targets B-Cells resetting the memory of immune system partially.

Now that's the kind of people for whom plant-based beef that "tastes just like real beef" has been invented.

His reaction is completely valid, I would feel the same way if that happened to me. You should have more empathy
