Please keep this on mind for the future: You have every right to refuse unsafe work, especially biohazardous, and you can't be fired for doing so. It should have been "too bad, so sad" for that aging Karen.
As previously stated, unless it's in your job description when you sign the contract, you do not need to perform any hazardous or unsafe tasks. That's INSANE. If she wants to reach in and risk her health, by all means let her, but you do not need to risk your safety. I would take action against your employer OP. Best luck and well wishes!
