Today, after I've been sick all week, but still coming in to work (I'm not contagious) because I know that we're short staffed, I sucked it up and came in again, only to find out 3 other employees called in because they're hungover. Now I have to do my job and theirs. FML

you should stay home when you're sick. even if you are "not contagious", your body is telling you that there's something wrong and it's important to listen. your (future) health should mean more to you than "sucking it up".. especially for people, who obviously don't give a shit.

Unfortunately, adulthood just means you reached a certain age. It doesn’t mean you ever grew up. 😪

If you let them get away with doing that to you, they will keep doing it. Don’t go in sick next time. Maybe use some sick time if you have paid leave and let your body rest. Add a mental health day to the end of it. Let them cover for you for a few days.
