Today, a little girl wandered into the glass-cleaning area of the pub I work at. It's a dangerous place for a little kid, so I took her hand and asked where her mum was. The kid starts screaming and the mother appears in the doorway shouting "GET AWAY FROM MY BABY!" FML

Today, I was in a shopping centre when a little girl was running up and down the aisles. She started to fall over so I put my hand out to catch her. Her mother then ran up to me and screamed about me 'touching her child' so loud that everyone could hear. FML

Today, a kid got his hand stuck inside my store's giant gumball machine. He started crying, and his negligent trainwreck of a mom bitched me out for being "unobservant." I'd been mopping up the mess she'd made after she'd spilled an open can of beer all over the floor. FML

Today, at my job working retail, I had just finished cleaning and straightening a whole aisle. This kid watched me do the whole thing. When I was done, he stuck his arm out, and ran it down the whole shelf, knocking everything off it. His mother just grabbed his hand and walked away. FML

Today, whilst babysitting, I broke a glass. I explained to the kid that it was very important not to walk barefoot around where it had happened, because of the tiny bits of glass. He jumped back, scared, and while doing so tripped. I rushed to help him and ran through the broken glass. Barefoot. FML

Today, my friends and I go to a bar and get wasted. I walk around and see a kid. I start yelling, "There's a child in this bar! There's a CHILD in this BAR!" She turns around. She was a midget. FML

Today, I waved at a baby while standing in line in a store. It started screaming. Its mom looked over in mild concern and gave me a disturbed glare before moving to the next checkout counter over. FML

Today, I spent an hour setting up a delicate display stand at work. Not five minutes later, a woman barged in with her little kid, who immediately went up to the display and tipped the whole thing over. When I called attention to the mother, she just scoffed, "Isn't this your job?" and left. FML

Today, I tripped over a kid at work. She was sitting on the floor with her legs sticking out into the walkway. Her mom caused a scene, accusing me of doing it on purpose. FML

Today, a customer at the restaurant where I work reduced me to tears by screaming at me, as I nearly knocked out his 2-year-old with the kitchen door, after he let the little boy play on the floor behind it. Apparently, it's my fault I can't see through solid wood. FML

Today, I was working at a children's play centre, and my stomach was twisting and turning. Thinking no one was around, I let out a small fart, only to turn and see a little girl running to her mom, yelling, "Mommy! Mommy! That lady just farted and it sounded like daddy!" FML

Oh and btw.. **** you people that say the op should have let the kid alone. Ts the patent should be watching their kid but think how much trouble op would have gotten in if their boss had seem the kid and seen the employee not do anything. The op souls hadn't talked to the kid some more before grabbing the hand.

I wonder what the result of this would have been if OP was female. Last year my boyfriend was taking photographs for a newspaper, and kids were near by. Some guy came up to him and goes "Are you a pedophile?" Not one picture had a kid in it. I hate these sexists assholes who profile men as "perverts" just because the media portrays sex offenders on the news as mainly male. News flash, women can be as well. No one was kidnapping your kid, psycho, maybe if you watched her better and kept an eye on her, someone else wouldn't have to look after her. Some people should never be parents. Ugh.

***** sake, everyone thinks everyone is a child molester. They aren't. Also, if the mother is THAT paranoid she shouldn't let her kid wander about. Put the kid on a damn kiddy lead/leash SERIOUSLY. Then kid tries to wander off, and can't :/ Or...be a NORMAL ******* PERSON and SHOUT AT THE KID FOR WANDERING OFF NOT THE DUDE WHO WAS GONNA GIVE HER BACK.
