Today, my boyfriend of 3 years dumped me. I was really depressed, so a couple of my friends came over to take me out to a club to cheer me up. My ex was there, partying with his friends. He came up to me and my friends, and asked my friend if she wanted to hang out sometime. She said yes. FML

The point isn't that her friend may like her ex. Its that they were together for 3 years, he just broke up with her. Then asked her friend out right in front of her, and she said yes. You never go out with a friend's ex unless they say it's ok or if you want to lose them as a friend. It's not controlling what she is doing. It's being considerate and not trying to hurt your friend. I would interested to see how you would react if your partner of 3 years dumped you then asked out your friend right in front of you.

there is an ancient rule that carries out through time: if one of your friends likes someone, is in a relationship with someone (especially follow this one trust me), or If they have been dumped by someone within the past 3 weeks, you do NOT i repeat do NOT go out with them unless you want to have SERIOUS problems.
