Today, after finishing a test, I decided to draw to pass the time. My teacher looked at the drawing and gave me a referral to the principal for drawing an "anti-Semitic picture." I'd drawn Superman. FML

Wow... I wonder what your teacher might have said if u had drawn Captain America.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally draw SuperHitler? It's actually a common mistake.

Well, a reasonable, logical person would infer it was the poster of this FML.

Ha that's funny the first superman comic was done by two Jewish guys I believe.

innovative Jews from Cleveland, Jerry Siegel (writer) and Joe Shuster (artist)

Dang you beat me to it. I was just going to point that out. If anything he was the exact opposite of antisemitic.

Drawing pictures on your test paper seems like a pretty silly thing to do.

Never said he drew on his test, when I was a kid I would draw on scrap paper.

I drew on the back of my tests when I was in school.

Well Siegel and Schuster originally created superman as an evil bald telepathic guy bent on world domination before they ever made him a superhero.... But even then I don't think he was anti Semitic lol and yes the creators were Jewish ;)

Maybe stop drawing

Did you draw him in his characteristic pose with his arms stretched out in front of him? It's a stretch, but maybe she thought he was doing the Nazi salute

Maybe Superman is anti-Semitic. Has he ever saved a Jewish person in any of his shows?

I do believe he fought Hitler during the WWII era of comics. He was also created by two Jewish guys so.... No. Superman isn't anti-semitic.

I was being sarcastic...

"...And superman is Jewish..." PS US Congressman in the 1950s says this!!!

If that's the case, don't go drawing Batman either. He, like Superman, was also created by a Jewish person.

Looks like your teacher likes Marvel!
