Earplug time

Today, I caught a cold. Turns out that the neighbours who have noisy children have also caught COVID and have to isolate for a week. I not only have to deal with a cold, but I have to overhear kids shows and crying through the thin wall dividing our houses. FML

That’s why I am glad I do not live in a “paired” single family home aka duplex. I had enough of the sharing of walls when I lived in apartments, no way do I ever want to share a wall with anyone again.

One of my personal mottos is “Nothing is so bad it could not be worse, nothing is so good it could not be better.” It could be worse - You or your neighbors could have “long COVID” and be in a hospital. And then again it could be better if your neighbors were quieter. I suggest noise canceling earphones.

You better make sure what you have is just a cold and not COVID as well if your neighbors have it.
