Dad! No!

Today, I got married. My dad wanted to see me before the ceremony in my dress. The dress I wore was not my usual kind of dress, strapless. The first thing my dad said, "Ginger! You've got boobs!" Not exactly the father-daughter moment I'd envisioned. FML

It's hard to find a wedding dress that isn't strapless these days, and it's even more difficult to find one that doesn't show cleavage. I thought wedding dresses were supposed to symbolize purity and be modest. Not these days! It was a nightmare finding one for my own wedding, what with either strapless and/or low-cut. Gah! But hey, at least your dad didn't say something like he wished you weren't getting married or hates the groom. :D

A lot of them also seem tight and in the form of the mermaid/trumpet style design. Seems almost impossible to find otherwise!

where did you look for dresses? three of my friends got married last year and none of them had trouble finding a dress with sleeves, no slits or low cleavage.
