Today, I went out with my friends. As I was heading home late, I heard the stop light beeping, meaning I could go, but some cocky prick thought he could drive past before I walked, but nope, I was met with his tire as it ran over my foot. Now I have to go to school with a cast on. FML

Aaand this is why I was taught that even if you have right of way you need to doublecheck if you’re getting it. Sorry about your foot though.

At what point did you look to make sure it was safe to cross? Did you think the beeping was like a protective force field, or something?

2nd grade me would have had to hold your hand to make sure you crossed the street properly. Look both ways before you cross!!!Look! Use your eyes unless you're blind. Then that sux. But if you can see and are old enough to be out with friends, you should learn how to safely cross a street. Practice makes perfect. Look before you step. Look up from your phone when crossing.
