Confused?

Today, after a day spent together, the police came to my girlfriend's place, telling me to leave without explanation. I'm now at a hotel, discovering she made false, negative statements about me in papers they provided. Despite recent love and commitment, it seems she wants to break up, leaving me confused and alone. FML

cops showed up and told you to leave? did thwy arrest her? something seems off. we're they part of a setup in cahoots with her?

Am I the only one to wonder if OP is actually abusive and that his ex actually had a case? ... I get that the system could be used by a GF to evict a BF when she's decided to move on. But it seems odd that GF would actually commit perjury to do this.

I'm sorry OP, that's a terrible way to break up with someone! But she did think outside the box.

that’s awful what she did to you! It doesn’t sound entirely legal what she did, going to extreme lengths and wasting police time. I know it could be a case of her word against yours, but could you get her a penalty for stunt like that?

I hope you sue her after this. I also hope she gets a charge for lying

I actually wonder if OP is a stalker and was escorted away with a restraining order. The view that they are friends and false statements and police asking them to leave line up more with that scenario than with the confusing story presented.
