Body positivity denied

Today, and for the 6th time, I sent a potential suitor a full body picture. I usually get ghosted or called a plethora of fatshaming names. This time around the guy told me, “Wow. I’d kill myself if I had that body.” I’ve been single for 4 years and no matter how hard I try to find love, this happens. FML

You're marketing yourself wrong. I'm guessing you have a headshot that makes you look average weight to attract a wider audience of men. You need to advertise yourself as a BBW and troll among men who are into that sort of thing.

You'd probably be better off having a full body pic on your profile (maybe not the 1st picture, but somewhere there). You're going to find more of the people willing to accept your body type, rather than a bunch of people seeing it coming as a surprise. You'll likely get fewer matches, but better ones. And internet/app based data are very superficial. It sucks, it's imperfect, but it's a limitation of that media.

Don't let it get you down OP, there are plenty of men out there like me who love a nice thick gal, don't give up hope you'll find someone 🙂

I am sorry people are assholes. I wish I had the courage to be as outgoing as you.

Your insurance very well might cover bariatric surgery as long as certain criteria are met. Might be worth looking into if you feel you've tried everything else and nothing works. I've known women and it really helped them get closer to a healthy weight.
