A man can be very happy doing very little. If that is what brings him peace and serenity, then let it be.

If he's been doing it for 20 years I'm wondering why it's bothering you now. I'd think you'd be use to it.

it's relaxing and feels safe. let the man enjoy his time off

I am on my feet 10 hours a day, in a factory. been hurt a number of times, treated like heathen scum but they pay to much to leave atm. when I get home I don't want to do anything or go anywhere. add in any sort of alcoholism and there you go. overworked people often seem lazy the minute they get to relax. it's like most white collar workers I know always want to go hiking, for drives, to the mall and talk because they are stuck sitting all day. the difference is physical vs mental exhaustion.
