Some relationships just weren't meant to be. They tried their hardest and things didn't work out. It doesn't mean they love you any less OP. They probably consider you to be the best thing to have come from their marriage

The idea is that a child will help a couple become close to one another but in reality it just pushes them further apart.

its a old thing people use to think would work. i mean look at the cartoons like family guy. maybe back in the day people use to come together for a child but these days, a whole different story

I've always been told a baby magnifies whatever your relationship is. If you're having problems, a baby will make them worse. If you're really close and communicate well, a baby will bring you closer.

This is quite common actually in some parts around the world. Don't blame yourself for not fixing their relationship and realise it has nothing to do with you. Also, don't get mad at them for wanting you for that purpose because either way you're you now. If you are happy with your relationship with each parent as an individual the rest is not so important. You are totally fine try not to overthink this OP!

Do you really think every person who exists is happy they do? Perhaps OP is glad to be alive and that's a good thing, but, believe it or not, there are some people who'd have preferred to not exist.
