Again, commentators, sympathy fail. I've done this. It sucks. I lost important school information, passwords, and a few important personal messages. I'm sorry. Make a "deleted" folder so this doesn't happen again.

why did you have 3 years of mail you wanted to keep in your inbox? if i needed to keep something i would save it elsewhere...after maybe a month or two. 3 years is asking to lose it.

If you contact the company you do your email through, you might be able to get them to restore your messages.
