Today, I'm studying abroad in Mexico and someone asked me what it's like to be from Minnesota. I responded in Spanish, in front of thirty people, what I thought translated to, "If you get cold, you can just put on a jacket." Apparently, what I thought meant "jacket" actually meant "masturbate". FML

Actually, you are all missing the FML here. She used the word 'chaqueta' wich correctly means jacket in Spanish but in Mexican slang, 'chaqueta' means to **********. So in all fairness your spanish was correct but while in Mexico you may want to stay with 'Chamarra' instead of 'Chaqueta' when referring to your jacket.

in texas, we got to 105 degrees. the humidity is so bad, were actually hotter than the deserts of arizona. it's summer, and my summer job consists of going outside. so don't complain.

Same here! But the best part about this is that my best friend is mexican and helps me practice my Spanish, and hasn't corrected me' once on this.

Thanks for the warning, dude, I'm currently learning Spanish and didn't realize that (to make matters worse, I live in Texas, so most Spanish speakers here use the Mexican dialect)
