I feel like I wasted five seconds of my life reading that..seriously.

I'm from and was born in Minnesota but I am Mexican. and yes I still speak Spanish I have not forgotten it
Come up to Minnesota I dare you if u thinks it's nice up here think again
Jacket=/=**********
Actually, you are all missing the FML here. She used the word 'chaqueta' wich correctly means jacket in Spanish but in Mexican slang, 'chaqueta' means to **********. So in all fairness your spanish was correct but while in Mexico you may want to stay with 'Chamarra' instead of 'Chaqueta' when referring to your jacket.
really? you learn something new everyday ;). i really think they should teach you a different word for jacket, then, in spanish class, they tought me the same word...
I live in Mexico andhad no idea that word was slang for **********.. FML
I was taught that chequeta and abrigo were both words for jacket
Not kidding, I just found that out the hard way at work just about a month ago haha
#67, chaqueta means jacket, abrigo means coat
Thanks for the warning, dude, I'm currently learning Spanish and didn't realize that (to make matters worse, I live in Texas, so most Spanish speakers here use the Mexican dialect)
I'll have to tell my Spanish teachers about this, cause they've been teaching 'Chaqueta' for a while now.
he didnt intentionally mean to say ********** that's just what the word translated to

That's what I was about to say. Or maybe he said "chingar"?
so any way i conviced this girl today who is studying abroad that we all thought she said **********, even though it was quite clear she was meaning jacket. she was so embarased.
ya i'm from minnesota......why does everyone think its so cold here? i mean, it's not exactly warm....but its not like peguin and igloo cold.....
Folks, pay no attention to this person. They are the person who walks around in four feet of snow in shorts and a t-shirt. In other words, they are the lucky type of minnesotan native
Jacket... Jack it... Easily confused, no?
Ha I agree. It even works in english!
