You little shit

Today, one of my students tried to bribe me $200 to change his grade. When I said no and told him he was lucky I didn't report him, he went to the dean and told him I offered to change his grade for money. I'm now suspended and under investigation. FML

Next time, don't warn them, just report it.

Sounds like someone has a Grade A attitude

Sorry, OP, but this is exactly why you should have reported him immediately. You may not be their first victim, and if they are successful then you likely won't be their last. Everyone has a duty to make sure pieces of $&!% like this don't profit from their amoral actions and suffer consequences for their misbehavior.

He outsmarted you. Take the bribe next time.

One of the many reasons I am leaving education at the end of this year-3 more days. These kids are punks and admin are spineless a&$holes. There is no reason to suspend you .

Especially in North America there is a level of entitlement unparalleled by any other culture. So you should just assume that if someone is willing to do something like pay $200 to get their way, they'll do a hell of a lot worse when that doesnt work.

Wow. Honestly though, why didn't you talk to the dean? He should believe you over the student.

That student learned one lesson which is wrong. Money cannot buy everything

Sounds like prep school to me. #represent

ydi give him a better grade than u chose to give him
