Rumbling guts are usually because of too much air/gas in the system. If you don't drink a lot of fizz or chew food with your mouth open then get checked for Helicobacter pylori, it's the bacteria that can cause stomach ulcers but it also causes gas. If you've only just picked it up then the other symptoms might not be showing yet. You can get over the counter test kits in the UK in pharmacies so you might be able to get one in the US. The pharmacist or Dr will know what you are talking about. If it's not that, try a good probiotic, your gut bacteria could just be out of sorts. Especially if you've been on antibiotics recently. Good luck.
Instead of hospital visits, maybe you could obtain an appointment with a GI expert who can help you.
