Today, I went to the doctor with serious digestive issues, only to be told off the bat that I just need to drink more water. She wasn’t interested to hear that 1) I already drink the recommended daily amount and 2) drinking when I don’t feel like it fucks up my system even worse. FML

If your doctor won’t listen to you, it’s time for a new doctor. Anyone can be wrong, even doctors. But when they won’t listen that’s a big problem… You might need to see a gastroenterologist - They specialize in issues relating to the digestive system… By the way if you have constipation issues - I have found an over the counter stool softener (the one that’s just a stool softener and not the version with a laxative) and Miralax works well (just take them according to directions). After my esophageal surgery (I had cancer) I personally had to use those regularly - My gastroenterologist said they were two of the few OTC products for that that you could take regularly. I had already found that Metamucil (most frequently suggested by doctors) made me feel worse - But that’s probably just my unique problem… Don’t give up - There are better and worse doctors out there and even the good ones are often overworked.

I'm not interested in that, either. Sounds like you need a second opinion. You should get bangs and wear high-waisted jeans. That's my opinion and by my count, it's the second one you've gotten.

If you're a woman, take a man to state the problem. That's the only way women get health issues taken seriously.
