Today, I got home from work to find my wife asleep in her easy chair with my two year old son asleep in a pile of torn-up paper. I soon found out it was my 1960s collection of a Superman comic book series that I inherited from my dad. It was worth well over $2,000. FML

Op your son just used his inheritance sooner than you anticipated. Deal with it

Dude... Like one of those comics is worth a grand. I had two in very bad shape n they sold on eBay (low price) for 3-500... Course the were number 20-24

If you tell your kid about, be careful with your word choice, don't sound angry because when I was around four or five I took some of dads vw bus's (worth like $800 for all three) and broke the windows took off the tires and everything. I only did that because I did that to MY car toys and I didn't understand that those were his, and I still feel guilty about that years later.

It's not your wife's fault that you don't know how to child-proof your valuables. If you spend any time around an average 2 year-old you should know that paper products WILL be destroyed.

Thats you should put valuable items out of reach of young kids, and you should have told your wife.. YDI for not being responsible about your stuff.
