Today, while waiting for an interview at the career that I've been spending months tailoring my résumé for, I was thrown up on by my only competitor. Guess who got the job. FML

Should have given them a hug. Then you'd both be screwed, but only one of you would have had a hangover.

That really sucks, OP. But keep your head up and hopefully much better opportunities will come your way! (:

We don't really know if that's the reason they didn't choose you. Of course it could have been the vomit, but they could also have a legitimate reason. Being covered in vomit is so obviously not 'intended' (in comparison to a crumpled shirt for example. that's something avoidable) that they could have overlooked it. They could have also overlooked that the other applicant was maybe nervous as hell, after all we don't know for a fact that it's because of a hangover. But non the less, I'm sorry you didn't get the job and FYL for getting vomited on.

Why isn't the other guy tried to use a bathroom instead...

It's a defense mechanism. The vulture is his spirit animal.

Just remember that trick at your next interview!

You spent "months" working on your resume?

Meaning getting work experience in jobs that would reflect well for the career job they're after

you should have asked to reschedule due to the other interviewee voiding thier stomach contents all over you

Well did the interviewer know about this, because if he was hungover you should have gotten the job

Am I the only one that thinks the other guy did it on purpose? A thousand different directions to aim your face when getting sick, and he goes for the guy next to him?
