Today, we got the IQ test results back, which show our daughter is on the high end of the genius scale. This confirms what my wife and I have long feared: our 6-year-old is FAR smarter than we are. No wonder she wins all the arguments we have. FML

Today, my 11-year-old son and I took an IQ test for a laugh. To be honest, I've often suspected that I may have some form of mental retardation, but I didn't expect to get a score of 79, while he got one of 114. FML

Today, my son is smarter than average, almost genius level, and he has now reached an age where not only does he question me at every turn, he actually out-argues me 90% of the time and I can’t do anything about it because technically he’s right and I’m wrong. FML

Today, my husband, who is proud of his 155 IQ, is depressed our son is becoming a typical football jock with an IQ only just into the triple digits. He even thinks I must have had an affair, because no way could someone as smart as him have produced such a blockhead with tattoos. FML

Today, I took an online IQ test, even though I knew they give everyone unrealistically high scores. My score was 73. FML

Today, I had the mother of a five year old come in for parent teacher conferences. When I told her that her son was very smart, but he often made up fantastical stories about his home life, she burst into tears. She then ran out of my office crying, "I knew it! I knew he was a sociopath!" FML

Being a genius isn't everything it's cracked up to be she'll have a lot of issues with ostracization and alienation especially from teachers and peers you may want to look into getting her into a school that specializes in high intelligence children, it'll be better for her in the long run. 😊

In the beginning they were created to discover the kids who were actually below average. Even if it's not always accurate they're at least relevant and should lead to further investigations. Some kids have special needs related to that.

That's not true. I'm smarter than both my parents, all my siblings, and my extended family put together, and I look exactly how I should - half dad, half mom. And yes, I am bragging.

My cousin is 6’10 and his mom is 5’5 - she started using the phrase when they realized he was going to be a tall one: you may be taller than me but I am still your mother you still have to listen to me. Might want to start that now with your kid- I am still your parent you have to listen to me.

According to my psychology teacher, IQ tests have many biases to them, and are tailored towards middle aged white men, and isn’t actually a great way to major IQ usually.
