Today, was my girlfriend's birthday. I planned it to perfection: we went shopping, bowling, had lunch in a nice Italian restaurant, watched a French comedy, walked by the river. She also got many presents. Tonight, I was exhausted but happy for her... until she told me her birthday is tomorrow. FML

The next day (on her actual birthday), I wished her a happy birthday again and luckily I still had a present for her (I had planned on giving her the nicest present right before bed the previous night but when she told me her birthday was the next day, I kept it for her real birthday!). :-)

If she expects everything to be done all over again, she's a bit greedy....that doesn't sound like it was a very cheap day you planned for her.

YDI for getting your girlfriend's bday wrong!! Still, it was a nice thing to do for her, so I'm sure she's really pleased with you, even for getting the date wrong. I'm sure she'll be fine with it... if she wasn't, she's a bitch. Come on, what more can you want from your boyfriend? Just tell her that you wanted her to spend her bday with family. That's a safe bet. :)

Hey at least you were early instead of missing it completely...

aww! I would be happy just the same...early bday presents :) and a lot of trouble

I would love it if my boyfriend did that for me. even if he got the date wrong. girls don't usally care about things that small

Redo it all. Take back the presents. Un-walk the river. Watch the French comedy backwards until its at the beginning. Throw up your Italian food, return it, and get a refund. Undo your strikes and turkeys. Return everything you bought. ??? PROFIT

I don't get the big fuss. I think OPs girlfriend should just be happy he remembered even if the date was wrong. He still thought of it.

The good part is that you'll never forget her birthday again

At least you got the wrong day instead of month
