Today, the power went out at school. If it's out for more than twenty minutes, standard procedure is to let us go home. They came back on almost nineteen minutes later. FML

Today, the power went out at school. As a senior, I don't show up until third period. When I got there, I signed in as usual. The office secretary waited until I signed in to tell me that if I hadn't, I wouldn't have to attend classes that day. Now I have to sit in class doing nothing. FML

Today, a strong storm knocked the power out at our office. I was dismissed five hours early, had my desk locked up and was walking toward the doors to leave when the power came back on. FML

Today, there was a power outage at my apartment. I ended up deciding that the power wasn't going to come on any time soon, and that I should go to a hotel for the night. Just after I unpacked at the hotel, my neighbor called to say the power had come back. FML

That happened to me once in high school too but ours was to wait an hour. Everyone had called for their ride and was about to leave when (58 mins in)... Click. You could hear a resounding collective sigh.

Based on the comments against the teen in the no-homecoming fml (which we didn't even have enough information on) I thought people would be a lot harsher on a teen that admitted to wanting to miss lessons...
