Wait? Where were your brides maids? Maid of Honor? Matron of honor? Did you plan and throw your own bridal shower? Thats a bit odd. Your support system seems to suck a bit if so. Cancel the wedding and elope. Save yourselves some money.

In addition to the "overall bridezilla" theory, the fact that you mention no hostess makes me suspect that you threw your own shower. Most people won't attend a party you throw in your own honor with the theme of everyone giving you presents.

This seems odd. Don't you have bridesmaids who were putting on the shower? Did you send out the invitations yourself? To people you actually know?
