It's the hangover all over again...

Must've been awkward standing there waiting for him to turn up.

Since when is it automatically the man who didn't show up??

HerpaderpMeg 12

fiance is male, fiancee is female

The women's family usually pays for the wedding....

That's a dated tradition....both families chip in now because weddings are so damn expensive...but so are divorces so OP may have saved money in the long run

My husband and i paid for our own wedding... and it was ******* awesome! :D

That's sucks... You don't need someone like that anyway.

Maybe he forgot and was still asleep

How can you forget about a wedding? Aha

It's suppose to be the happiest day of your life. A person who forgets their wedding is not common..

I don't understand how someone can forget a wedding to begin with.

Might have got wasted the night before and is still passed out.

Getting wasted, the night before your wedding day is asking for trouble. Why would you be hung-over on your wedding day? Very silly.

That sounds like something my dad would do.

Awww stood up at the alter. What a rough way to end it.

Well, she can't alter the fact, can she?

niyah4sho 11

No but she can find him and alter his face

Wow. What an asshole. He couldn't find another time to break up with you? Has he contacted you since?

Lets hope it's something like puking and ******** simultaneously, or he got a broken arm saving someone's life, or his 'friends' tied him up, painted him yellow, and put him on a train to Doncaster.

Every time my mom asks me if I want to go to a wedding or party I ask if there will be cake. If she says no, I usually don't go c:

He proberly just got nervous! It's okay xo

xXxIracebethxXx 14

You know, I've never experienced being stood up at the alter, but I'm pretty ******* sure it's not okay, dipshit, whether OP's fiancé was just "nervous" or not. I'm also pretty sure OP herself was nervous, but you don't see her backing out.

37, you've obviously never experienced sarcasm either.

Proberly? That's a new word... I wonder what it means....

It sounds like prober but with ly on the end hmm time to go check the dictionary

Everyone's just assuming that it was the bride who was stood up. It could easily be the groom and OP could be a guy.

squirrel1215 5

The post shows a "female" symbol. I suppose if the OP lied it could still be a guy, but that's why everyone's assuming it's a woman.

Except that it clearly states that OP is a woman, and "fiancé" refers to the male...

amberstarr89 5

Ummm fiancé is not a gender specific word

Lizzy500 16

This. Fiance' is the guy, fiance'e is the girl. Spelling DOES matter.

Rachaelc23 8

And regardless of what it says the phone auto corrects to fiancé anyway. You people get so nitpicky over stupid shit when that's not the real problem. Sorry OP. No one should have to go through that. FYL

The spelling for a man is Fiancé, for a woman it's Fiancée. Yay French words!

Yes, it is. "fiance" with one "e" refers to a male. "fiancee" with two "e"s refers to a female. The OP is a woman and referred to her "fiance", male.

...no one is assuming. seems like everyone but you knows how to spell. Fiancé (one e) refers to the male, fiancée (TWO e's) refers to the woman....go back to school.
