Today, my dad found the Father's Day present that I spent at least ten hours preparing and decorating. I'd expected him to be extremely happy about this lovely gift. His only reaction was to ask if he could exchange it for something else. FML

Ask if you can exchange him for a more appreciative father

Next time spend 10 minutes buying a case of beer, works on my dad. Sometimes he even tears up in appreciation.

And they say we are ungrateful sometimes?!

Parents, they'll never get us. Don't get him anything at all, now.

I agree. I would either give it to him anyway and let his ass be unhappy and deal with it while being happy because I did something great. Either that or give him nothing at all and not even recognize Fathers Day. Wouldn't say anything, just act like its another day so MAYBE he'll realize its better to have an appreciative daughter. Some people don't realize how good they have it until its gone and don't get it. And compliments to the name of your country: Lithuania. Its beautiful. I've never heard of it, but I know its in Northern Europe. What's it like? Is it pretty, if I may ask anyone who has been? (Just like to learn) :) Sorry

Shit. I replied to a comment on the first page. WTF how did it get here?? And then when I tried to edit it to minimize it, I came here. WTF...maybe FML needs to fix some of this shit....

It's okay, mine asked for a date with Jessica Alba. Looks like he's in for some disappointment this year.

Well, what was it? You ought to know what he likes..

So, what takes ten hours to prepare? A Lego castle? A lite brite picture?

Since I'm reading this at 3 am with less than stellar comprehension skills, I freaked out and was like "oh shit I forgot Father's Day last year I can't forget it again!" Then I jumped out of bed to check my calendar while simultaneously feeling like an asshole. But nope. I just can't read when I'm right between being tired and being not tired. Now I definitely won't forget Father's Day.

Maybe you should have waited until Father's Day....
