Today, my boyfriend showed up at my grandmother's wake in torn jeans and a Family Guy t-shirt. When I took him aside asked him what the hell he was thinking, he lost his temper and stormed out. FML

Today, my boyfriend broke up with me at my grandma's funeral. FML
Today, I found out my grandmother passed away. When I told my boyfriend I began to cry. Instead of caring, he said "you're getting my bed wet," rolled over, and fell asleep. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he couldn't spend the day with me as he had his grandmother's funeral. Lonely, I went shopping and I bumped into his mum having lunch with his 'dead' grandma. FML
Today, my boyfriend said he couldn't come to my grandfather's funeral because he was at his cottage and couldn't make it. Later that day, when driving home from the graveyard I saw him walking down the street, with another girl. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend his shirt and pants did not match and that he should change for dinner. All my belongings are now on the sidewalk. FML
Today, after changing his mind 3 times, my long distance fiancé told me he wasn't coming to see me for Thanksgiving. Out of anger, I threw his clothes, car magazines, and whatever else I could find in a huge, messy pile. During this, he walked into the room. He was going to surprise me. FML
Today, I was at my boyfriend's grandmother's house meeting her for the first time. I excused myself to the restroom and as I walked out of the room I heard her say, "You could do a lot better. She's fat." Then I heard my boyfriend reply, "I know." FML
Today, my boyfriend and his parents met my family. My grandpa thought it would be funny to walk around with a realistic gun and make references about being in the mafia. The rest of my family went along with it. FML
Today, I wore my boyfriend's favorite shirt to surprise him and show him how sexy I look. He made me take it off and pay the bill for dry cleaner. FML
Today, while waiting for my boyfriend to get out of the shower, I chatted with his grandma. As soon as we hear him exit the restroom, she smirks at me and lets a huge, smelly fart out. She blamed it on me. My boyfriend believed her. FML

You're not alone, OP. Practically the same thing happened to me when I was in tenth grade. My grandpa died, and I asked my boyfriend to come to one of the viewings with me. He came in a neon green polo shirt and ripped jeans. If that was the best clothing he owned, I would have understood, but he definitely had better clothes than that. Needless to say, I wasn't happy and told him he look like a disrespectful äśsclown. The relationship ended shortly after. Don't ever put up with crap like that when you can do better.

Cool story, bro, but how do you know the OP could do better? The boyfriend could have been way out of her league. I just don't think that everyone who gets an FML published is automatically beautiful and wonderful and worthy of someone better than what they have (or just lost.) I know a perfectly wonderful guy who has never had an FML accepted.

First off, I'm a woman, so I'm not your "bro." Second, not once did I say that OP was amazing or anything like that. I merely said that I understood how she felt. I don't care if the guy was "out of her league" or not; that's still not an excuse for going to something dressed like that. It shows a complete lack of class and respect, both for others and for yourself. So yeah, no matter what, she does deserve better than that tool. Oh, and you know a perfectly wonderful guy who has never had an FML accepted? Cool story, bro.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think by saying OP could do better, they were speaking based off their own similar situation in which, at the end, she found that she could do better.
